Connect OctoberCMS with Forum Software

Hello,

I would like to add a forum to my OctoberCMS Website. But I’m not sure how to realize it in the best way.

I dont really want to use the OctoberCMS Forum Extension and would rather prefer it to use a forum like phpbb and build a bridge between the two systems somehow.

Anyone has recommendations on how to realize this, which forum to use best for this, if there’re alternatives for the OctoberCMS Forum extension etc?

Any good advice is welcome, thanks already. ^^

Check for Discourse (open source discussion platform).
You can create a subdomain.

talk.octobercms.com is built with that.

I’ve saw different others communities built with that too (community.openai.com , community.pinecone.io).
