Database error out of the blue

Hello

We received this error message today:

SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'site_root_id' in 'SET' (Connection: mysql, Host: localhost, Port: 3306, Database: -censored-, SQL: update xc_7b9d4e3c2345678901cd234567890abcrsetsite_root_id= 56,xc_7b9d4e3c2345678901cd234567890abcr.updated_at= 2026-09-14 14:49:49 whereid = 56)

For about three months, no one had changed any text or added data in the backend. I had merely been installing updates regularly.

Acting on instinct, I triggered “Save and Migrate” again for the affected blueprint, and everything was fine after that.

Can this be explained?

Hey @martin.schaible

This came with a recent improvement to tailor (dual related fields).

This should be solved with a tailor:migrate call, or migrating the blueprint works too. I wonder how did you perform the update?

i usually run the update via the UI. Made for lazy people.

Maybe the setup didn’t execute the “migrate”?

Known issue btw. We had it because of the content migration from prod to local then back to prod. Since we updated local first, then pulled the db from prod. Here where we got them lost. But added manually and it worked just fine.
