Migrating Database from Old October CMS Web

Hello.
So I want to migrate all the Database from my Old October CMS Web to the New Web that already deployed (Only need the database). My Question is

  1. Can I download the SQL database that already filled with content (not an empty table) from NAS Server so I can have all the Database content?
  2. If can’t is it the best way for migrating it by manually copy all the content ?

So you can migrate your database by downloading a backup and importing it to the new location.

Keep in mind that

  • The content in that database should replace what’s there (make a backup of that as well)
  • The users that are there in the database will work for the new install
  • If you switch out the database to the imported one, you will be logged out. That’s normal
