So durning the upgrade I am presented with several errors like this which I feel is preventing me from getting my site upgraded.
Failed to download jaybizzle/crawler-detect from dist: curl error 6 while downloading https://api.github.com/repos/JayBizzle/Crawler-Detect/zipball/61f2ef1ad2d0ae922c265931cb0a8032a1ed2813: Could not resolve host: api.github.com
Now trying to download from source
Then it states its Cacheing after each one…
I can put the links in my local browser and it will download the file so I know the like works for each file with the issue… Other than that everything seems to do fine yet the site never works and I have to restore from a backup.
Also is the min PHP requirement now 8.4. I get this error when doing a stand alone install now…

Hi @dblackmon
This looks like an issue with your hosting provider, you may need to contact them about this one:
Could not resolve host: api.github.com
Now trying to download from source
So do I need to have my own Github repository when doing the update. I know it asks for some keys during the process. However I have always skipped though it because the upgrade documentation doesn’t contain any info regarding to that. Bluehost is stating I need to set up the Git Version Control, however I am questioning the reason for this considering Composer it downloading the files from a different repository.
Yes, you can absolutely use October CMS with Git; it works great. Bluehost may have specific recommendations on how they want it set it up for integration.
