October CMS Build version for Docker image tag

I’d like to peg docker image builds to the build version of each patch release. Is the repository tag the best reference?

Hey Pete!

I would probably look at using these tags here:

Hi @petehalverson

Nice to read you are working on this. Can you please let us know your findings as this might tie into this issue here?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for confirming. I’ve noticed the October Rain Library is not always in sync. Does that matter?

@chocolata I’ll check out that thread.

Should be fine. The October Rain library is backward compatible with the major versions. If there is a forward-looking change, the main repo will be bumped as well.

Sounds good. Thanks!

Hi @petehalverson, did you have a chance to check out that thread? Thanks for looking into it.

Hey @chocolata

I’m working on an official docker solution that should be available soon. It will have dev and production builds that can be used.

This will be more like an improved version of the Docker solution you are currently using. In the meantime, I heard Laravel Herd is quite good.

I think @petehalverson may be working on a pre-baked image that contains each OCMS version. I’m not sure though.
